THE STORY

Excellent performance for all your water sports. In the 1960s, the new sport of scuba diving became all the rage. For divers, every second counts, so Breitling set out to provide them with the clearest and most readable diving watch, and deleted all functions that did not support underwater life-saving needs. This streamlined watch is called “Superocean Slow Motion”. The watch retains clean lines, thick luminous hour markers, square hands and a contrasting bezel, all designed to maximize legibility. The practicality is truly outstanding. But what really makes people fall in love with it is its appearance. The Superocean Super Diver watch adopts the design elements for which the Slow Motion watch is famous, while adding modern features, such as a scratch-resistant matte ceramic inlaid bezel and a camouflage dial. The wide hands and hour markers are coated with Super-LumiNova® for easy reading underwater. The watch is water-resistant to 1,000 meters (3,300 feet) and is shock-proof, sand-proof and sea-water proof. In addition to its visual impact, this model also has many advantages: its soft iron inner case prevents the influence of magnetic fields, and the bidirectional rotating bezel can be fixed through a safety lock on the left side of the case. Both strap options (rubber strap and titanium bracelet) are equipped with a folding clasp, which can be fine-tuned by up to 15 mm, making it easy to wear over a jellyfish suit or diving suit. Even better, it's not strictly a dive watch - you can wear it surfing, swimming, heading to a beach bar and then to dinner.
